 The cast of the musical

1. Almira
She is the main character of the musical. Almira means “princess” in spanish. She is in love with Alvero.

2. Alvero
Alvaro means “protector” or “warrior” in Spain. He is in love with Almira. The names of the two main characters, “Almira” and “Alvero,” are similar to Tamino and Pamina (The Magic Flute).

3. Toscuro – The White Phantom
He is the main ghost of the castle. The name is derived from “oscuro,” a Spanish adjective meaning “dark.”
It is derived from the Latin “obscurus,” meaning dark, gloomy, hidden, invisible, secret. He wants to live again. He constantly needs his “medicine.” The magical sugar. The “White Crystal Medicine”. The Phantom is the true power in the castle.

4. Venita
She is the She is the Phantom’s lover. The Name Venita: Spanish diminutive of the goddess Venus. She is also addicted to the magical sugar. She likes to flirt and has her eye on Alvaro—the Phantom suspects her.

She suspects the Phantom that he will leave her for Almira. She tries to seduce Alvaro by telling him, he can become the new king in the castle and defeat the Phantom.

5. Farella
A female mirror spirit. She helps Almira and Alvaro. She gives both of them red, magical bracelets. She frees Almira from the cell.

6. Raimondo
He is a male assistant to the Phantom. The name means “advisor” or “protector,” the “wise advisor”. He sings the song “In the White Rain.”

7. King Orlando
He was betrayed by the Phantom and made dependent on him. Orlando is the Italian and Spanish form of the Old High German Name Roland. It means “the Glorious One,” “the famous land,” or “famous throughout the land.”.

8. The ghosts of the castle
For singing / dance scenes. Male and female.
