The good ghost Farella warns Almira of the evil plans of the white phantom Toscuro. Almira tries to escape to get help. But Toscuro’s guards catch Almira and lock her in the “Prison of Time.” One hour in the prison equals one year in real life. There are several variations of Almira’s sad song, in which she laments her fate. A different song is used in the musical, but we’re happy to be able to share this version online.
